These cameras capture and save the image in a digital format. In the nowadays modern world, most of all cameras are digital because everything is turned out to a digital means of communication devices. These cameras can show the captured image in an instant manner through the screen displays as like mobiles. The major difference between the old film cameras and the digital camera is the image sensors. The light entering through the lens strikes the image sensor and the signal output by the image sensor are processed within the camera, to create image data which is stored in the storage device of the cameras. Various types of digital cameras are available such as compacts, rugged compacts, action cameras, 360-degree cameras, bridge camera, mirror less interchangeable lens camera, modular cameras, Digital single lens reflex cameras, Digital rangefinders and stand-alone cameras. Nowadays in most of the electronic devices like smartphones, laptops etc have inbuilt digital cameras. There is no need to wait to process the films and finalize the pictures in digital cameras, as the images are readily available instantly after capturing and they can be easily transferred to other devices.
